Our Mission

Beautify L.I. exists to inspire, unite and empower the people of Long Island through service, compassion, community pride and meaningful human connection. Through media reach and community engagement, we strive to create a cleaner, healthier, kinder and more hopeful Long Island... and to increase the amount of volunteer support for local organizations who are doing good work that benefits us all, today and for future generations.

Beautify L.I. was built on the belief that real change begins at the local level — with neighbors helping neighbors, people listening to one another and communities choosing progress over division. Supported by the launch of Beautify L.I. Radio on in April 2026, the organization serves as both a platform and a movement, not only dedicated to improving the physical appearance of environmental health of Long Island, but also strengthening the spirit of people who call it home.

We believe beautification is about more than cleaning parks, beaches and streets. It is about elevating the way people treat one another, supporting families and worthy causes, encouraging personal growth, promoting mental and emotional wellness, amplifying local voices and creating opportunities for collaboration across every town, household, neighborhood and background.

We truly appreciate your support of our network of resident volunteers, charitable organizations and community-focused partners. Your participation helps us to get things done, so thank you for pledging to never litter and signing up to receive email and/or text notifications about upcoming events. We can always use an extra pair of hands... and if you can bring a friend or some family members, the more the merrier!

Beautify L.I. Radio is an expansion on our mission to clean up Long Island. Raising awareness, engagement and participation increases our community's collective visibility for the local leaders and organizations that the work to improve the lives of ALL Long Islanders, present and future forward. This movement is the realization of our extended team's unified vision to 'Keep Long Island Beautiful for America's 250th and Beyond'. We hope you'll tune in to stay both informed and entertained... and to be reminded that it truly does take a village and that we have more in common than we tend to realize. We're all in this together! While our life circumstances and personal goals may be somewhat different, our survival needs and life aspirations are quite similar.

We are given a gift, with each new day, to be better than the day before, to improve ourselves and, ideally, to lift up the people around us. Beautify L.I. Radio aims to help us all to do just that. We have something fun, interesting and rewarding for everyone to hear, every week! We want our listeners leave feeling inspired and ready to do something that will truly make a difference!

Starting in June 2026, the 'Beautify L.I. Street Fleet' will also be out in the community, cleaning up the most concerning areas, supporting local initiatives, attending community events and inspiring residents to take action as well. We have a lot going on and we can always do MORE if we have your support... so if you are in a position to consider donating to Beautify L.I. or any of the 'Keep Long Island Beautiful' member organizations, your contribution(s) help us expand on our cleanup efforts across Long Island.

Again, please pledge to never litter and volunteer to be on our e-mail and/or text list, so that we can notify you about upcoming events. Nobody expects you to show up every time... but when we communicate with one another and plan ahead, we can be more effective in our collective efforts and the actual impact we have.
